So, I completed the 100 Day Dress Challenge by the Wool& Company (https://journal.wooland.com/post/2020/5/1/100-day-dress-challenge) If this sort of thing interests you, I highly recommend it. The dresses seem expensive at first glance but I can say my Mara sailed through the 100 days without even looking slightly worn and I wore it in industrial manufacturing conditions. I also washed it every two weeks in a lanolin no-rinse solution made for wool called Eucalin.
This morning when I woke up I had to put one of my other four wool dresses on and I would be embarrassed to tell you how many I have on order as I type this post. I could tell you that I am wool obsessed and plan on ditching all my other clothing to live in wool. Is there such thing as a wool dress cult?
Ironically during the 100-day challenge, I absolutely failed my personal no-spend challenge – as evidenced by the number of dresses I’ve collected in the last 100 days. It inspired me to take on Gig Work to pay for my dress habit and to pay off some debt that was starting to creep up. This inspired me to start a new podcast called Dash Away Debt. I’m on all the podcasting platforms.
It struck me while I was exploring all the different types of gig work, that we really don’t know who is delivering our food, or groceries. But there are tons of other ways to make money as well. In addition to that, after I’ve watched some documentaries on Gig Work, I’ve come to realize that people that do gig work full time are not setting themself up well for the future – like planning for retirement. So I am sharing my knowledge and free resources as a part of this podcast. In this day and age can anyone not afford to invest in stocks?
